The stunning mountain view from our room was breathtaking.
I had several issues during my stay that left me feeling frustrated. The location felt overly remote, meaning we struggled with limited dining options. we had to drive quite far to find anything decent to eat. the advertised dog-friendly aspect was misleading, as we found out we could not leave our dogs in the room while we went paddleboarding, which hindered our plans for the weekend.

Staying at Whicham Hall was a delight. The garden view from my room was stunning, making mornings really special. The large garden is beautifully maintained and adds a relaxing element to the stay. Megan, the host, was incredibly welcoming, creating a homey atmosphere right from the start. I appreciated the diverse breakfast menu, allowing me to choose what I liked each day. The room had great amenities like a flat-screen TV and free wi-fi, which were wonderful additions. One downside was the property’s location. it felt a bit remote from popular spots like Windermere and Ambleside, about a 50-minute drive away. the tranquility made up for it if you're looking to unwind.

Amazing stay with stunning views!
We spent 2 nights in the King Room with Mountain View and it was just perfect. The outdoor dining area was a nice touch, especially with such a beautiful setting. Megan was super friendly and made us feel at home. Only wish there were more food options nearby for dinner. Bed was super comfy!

The breakfast spread was a dream, and those thin, crispy fries were a culinary highlight! The stunning views from the garden room made mornings feel magical, and I felt right at home with Megan's warm hospitality.
Honestly, nothing. If I had to nitpick, a long-length mirror would be fab, and a quick refurb of the outdoor furniture wouldn’t hurt. But really, everything shone brightly!
